ERDA, Utah — Cole West Land Company (“Cole West Land”), a leading land development and lot servicing company based in Utah, has officially closed on the acquisition of Echo, a 1,260-lot master-planned community located along State Route 36 in Erda, Utah. The project marks one of the largest master-planned community acquisitions in Tooele County and will bring a thoughtfully designed, mixed-residential neighborhood to one of the fastest-growing regions in the state. Altogether, the community represents an investment of approximately $600 million at full buildout.

Located in the heart of the Tooele Valley, Echo will deliver a balanced mix of single-family homes, townhomes, open space, and community amenities tailored to meet the needs of families, first time buyers, and move-up homeowners. The community’s design emphasizes a blend of housing types, connectivity, and outdoor recreation.

“The Tooele Valley is becoming one of Utah’s most dynamic growth corridors, and we’re proud to contribute to its future through responsible, high-quality development,” said Logan Fawcett, President of Cole West Land Company. “Echo represents a tremendous opportunity to bring well planned housing to a market that continues to see strong demand,”

The master plan includes 325 acres that will include 210 acres of residential lots across multiple housing types, 53 acres of future civic uses with interconnected parks and trail systems, and 62 acres of future development and commercial nodes—including multiple churches and the future Erda City Office—to support both residents and the broader community. The project’s strategic location along SR-36 provides convenient access to both downtown Tooele and the Salt Lake Valley, offering residents the benefits of small-town living with proximity to major employment centers.

Cole West Land intends to partner with several of Utah’s leading homebuilders to deliver a range of product types and price points. Infrastructure construction will begin immediately, with initial home construction expected to commence in 2026.

“Our team focuses on creating communities that last for generations,” added Fawcett. “We’re committed to working collaboratively with Erda City, Tooele County, and local stakeholders to ensure Echo is a place people are proud to call home.”

The acquisition of Echo builds on Cole West Land’s expanding footprint across Utah and Texas, where the company is actively developing multiple large-scale master-planned communities that combine thoughtful design, strong infrastructure, and enduring value.
