Amateur and professional photographers were invited to submit their best outdoor landscape or activity photos that answer the question: “My Utah is ____.” Whether it’s majestic mountain ranges, vibrant red rocks or powdery ski slopes, this contest celebrates Utah’s natural beauty and unique culture.
“I enjoy photography for the personal challenge, the fun and the connection with the beauty I see in the world,” said Draper, First Place Winner. “I have been a dedicated amateur photographer for over 20 years but have never entered any contest before this one. Contests help us share our successes and inspire each other to improve. There were so many entries I found honestly inspirational. I really do appreciate the folks at Bank of Utah for being a patron to this.”
“I entered the photo contest thinking, ‘Why not?’—and now I’m in a calendar,” said Smithson, Third Place Winner. “It’s an honor to be featured alongside such amazing photos showcasing God’s creation … and to finally have a reason to point at a calendar and say, ‘That’s me, that’s my photo!’”
All winners and honorable mentions will be presented in Bank of Utah’s 2026 My Utah calendar, with the first-place winner on the cover. The “Best in Show” winner will be featured at the end of the calendar. Watch for the 2025 first-place photo on freeway billboards along the Wasatch Front. Throughout June and July, select submissions were spotlighted in the bank’s “Feature Fridays” series on Instagram.
