SALT LAKE CITY — GE HealthCare (Nasdaq: GEHC) announced the findings of a new economic impact report showing that its operations in Utah in 2024 generated $1.97 billion in total annual economic output, highlighting the company’s contributions to workforce development, innovation and community investment throughout the state.

At the heart of this impact is GE HealthCare’s Salt Lake City facility, a key site for the production of mobile fluoroscopy and cone-beam computed tomography (CT) imaging C-arms that support surgical and interventional procedures around the world. The company supports a robust local workforce—including engineering, research and manufacturing professionals—while also extending its reach through a growing number of remote employees across Utah.

Its operations contribute to job creation across multiple sectors and help strengthen Utah’s innovation economy. In 2024, GE HealthCare supported more than 580 full-time and contractor jobs throughout Utah, underscoring its significant role as both a direct employer and a catalyst for employment across related industries.
