SALT LAKE CITY — Ski Utah is thrilled to announce that the state’s 15 ski resorts recorded 6,503,635 skier visits during the 2024–25 winter season. While down 3.6% from last season’s total, this marks the third-highest number of skier visits in state history and a 3.3% increase over Utah’s five-year average.

This season’s numbers reflect the continued strength and resiliency of Utah’s ski industry, even in a year with more variable weather patterns. “To hit our third-best season ever and generate $2.51 billion for Utah’s economy is a major win,” said Nathan Rafferty, President and CEO of Ski Utah. “The ski industry in Utah supports approximately 25,000 jobs, and with the 2034 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games on the horizon, the eyes of the world will be on us once again. We’re excited about the opportunities ahead and grateful to all who helped make this season a success.”
With construction already underway on several major capital projects, Utah resorts are setting the stage for future growth. In the next two years, at least 13 new lifts are expected to come online, along with a number of on-mountain upgrades. With another Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games scheduled in 2034, Utah’s future as a global winter destination remains as promising as ever.
