Salt Lake City — The Utah Housing Preservation Fund (UHPF) is excited to announce a significant $2 million investment from Milestone Bank. This Utah-headquartered industrial bank is demonstrating its commitment to addressing the growing need for affordable housing across the state. The $2 million investment will enable UHPF to continue its work in preserving and expanding access to affordable housing for Utah’s most vulnerable populations. As housing prices rise, many families are at risk of losing their homes, making the support of partners like Milestone Bank critical to the Fund’s ongoing mission of preserving essential affordable housing units across Utah.

“We are thrilled to partner with Milestone Bank and grateful for their contribution toward ensuring housing stability for Utah residents,” said Lukas Ridd, Fund Manager. “This investment marks a pivotal step in strengthening our efforts to keep families in their homes and maintain the fabric of our communities.”

The collaboration also highlights the growing awareness within the banking sector of the importance of social responsibility. By investing in affordable housing, Milestone Bank is not only contributing to local economic stability but also playing a key role in the preservation of inclusive, sustainable communities. This partnership showcases the power of financial institutions to drive meaningful change through strategic investments that benefit both businesses and communities alike.

“Milestone Bank has been part of the Utah community for almost 20 years,” said Gary Harding, CEO, “we are pleased to make an investment back to support affordable housing for low and moderate income families that are the backbone of the community.”

As the need for affordable housing in Utah continues to grow, UHPF remains dedicated to providing innovative solutions that preserve current housing options while developing new opportunities for low- and moderate-income families. The investment from Milestone Bank will be directly allocated to acquiring and preserving properties that can offer affordable rent to households who might otherwise face displacement.
