Salt Lake City—Egg Break, a new breakfast concept specializing in curated breakfast sandwiches, will open its doors to the community in Salt Lake City this December. This new restaurant will debut in the up-and-coming Commonwealth District located at 193 W. 2100 S. and operate daily from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Founded by two food lovers and restauranteurs, Clay Beck and Chad Rigby, Egg Break is a culmination of the duo’s background in creating vibrant community spots and culturally driven food. The restaurant will offer a combination of twists on some classic breakfast sandwiches like the “NYC Bodega B.E.C.” their take on a Bacon Egg and Cheese while also introducing some more out-of-the-box options such as the “Pastrami Nom Nom”, an in-house brined and smoked pastrami breakfast sandwich with Dijon aioli and a fried egg with house brined pickles. The concept will also feature freshly baked buttery biscuits and swirled cinnamon and sugar coffee cake.

The new restaurant concept is part of Clay’s larger vision for the Commonwealth District. Located next to the Central Pointe TRAX station in South Salt Lake City, Egg Break will operate adjacent to the Commonwealth Room music venue and creative office and retail spaces in a highly accessible location. The vision is to anchor the community with a hub for entertainment, food and culture.

“I knew this burgeoning district was accessible and filled with personality, making it the perfect spot for a community-driven breakfast spot,” said Clay, Urban Developer and Owner of Egg Break. “Our design and concept will feature plenty of comfortable working space for those wanting to lounge and stay awhile while simultaneously offering plenty of casual seating for those looking for more of a quick service approach. Egg Break is a spot for everyone, just choose your method of transportation – planes, trains, bikes or automobiles – and we will be here to feed you the best breakfast sandwich you can imagine.”

“Our hope is to be a hub for excellent food and community collaboration,” said Chad Rigby, Executive Chef of Egg Break. “Every opportunity to bring people together to celebrate their victories in life and to deepen friendship and family over thoughtful food is an experience I love to celebrate and seek to create, and I believe that is exactly what we will be able to do at Egg Break.”

Aside from thoughtfully curated breakfast sandwiches, Egg Break will feature locally roasted coffee alongside an expansive orange juice bar. The menu will also feature a monthly seasonal breakfast sandwich special. To try out these items and more, check out Egg Break’s grand opening on December 1, 2023. Visit www.eggbreakbreakfast.com
