Eden — Located in the Wasatch Mountains of Eden, Utah, Powder Mountain’s new lift-accessed bike park, coined “Dirt Mountain” is officially open to the public for its inaugural mountain biking season. Day passes and season tickets are available for purchase online.
During its first season, Dirt Mountain will offer two flow trails with adrenaline-pumping singletrack tech trails accessible from the Hidden Lake Lift. As part of a five-year expansion project, Dirt Mountain will be cutting 2-3 new downhill trails each summer.
“Whether someone is visiting locally or from across the world, we want to ensure that our mountain biking experience is unparalleled, thrilling, and brings a new level of adventure,” said JP Goulet, Director of Marketing and Base Operations at Powder Mountain. “Five years of expansion gives us the leeway to experiment, implement, and amplify outdoor recreation offerings on the mountain.”
Beginning now through mid-September (weather permitting), Dirt Mountain will operate four days a week, from Thursday to Sunday. The Hidden Lake Lift will spin Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm. Tickets are $40 for day passes (with discounted half-day pricing on Thursdays) and $400 for season passes, which can be purchased online here. Multi-Use and XC Trails will be open 7 days a week from sunrise to sunset.
Rental gear is also available including Commencal Clash bikes, ION knee pads, elbow pads, and a full-face helmet, and should be reserved no later than 72 hours in advance. Spot Insurance can be purchased for $5.50 a day for extra protection.
In an effort to preserve and uphold the “uncrowded, unspoiled” reputation and philosophy for guest experience, Dirt Mountain will limit daily lift tickets to 250 and season passes to 500, ensuring riders get the full PowMow experience, no matter the time of year.
