Salt Lake City— Kristin’s Farm Stand Salt Lake (www.Kristins-SaltLake.com) is a new, local, small, regenerative farm that grows safe, nutritionally dense foods that they harvest, package, sell, and deliver themselves straight to customer’s homes. They have launched online ordering and home delivery just in time to make it easy for Utah’s families to obtain fresh, local vegetables and pasture-raised proteins from the safety of their homes.

The farm is located just outside of Snowville and offers a wide variety of proteins and fresh vegetables.  Their produce growing methods use less than 8 percent of the water compared to growing the same produce conventionally, and the cows, pigs, and chickens live on pasture just as nature intended and are never treated with hormones or antibiotics.

Kristin’s Farm Stand grows and raises and delivers a diverse range of products, including:

  • 100 percent pasture-raised eggs (non-GMO corn/soy-free)
  • 100 percent pasture-raised pork (non-GMO, corn/soy-free)
  • 100 percent grass-fed grass-finished pasture-raised beef
  • Multiple different microgreen varieties
  • Soil-grown and vine-ripened tomatoes, cucumbers, green beans, eggplant and more.

“We are NOT a CSA or a Subscription Box. Simply cherry-pick exactly what you want, in the quantities you want, when you want them, and we’ll deliver them to you. Simple… the way life should be” said Varela.

Varela continues, “Even during ‘normal times’ most people simply don’t have the time to seek out many different local farms and drive to them to pick up individual items. During these unprecedented COVID-impacted times, our food supply system is disrupted, making it difficult and downright dangerous for people to ‘shop around’ for healthy local food.”

About Kristin’s Farm Stand:

In 2016, Kristin had a nasty scare when her daughter became quite sick with a mystery illness. It became crucial to her daughter’s life to know and trust their food source. Where it came from, was it sprayed with dangerous chemicals, whether it was picked ripe and fresh and how long ago it was harvested were all critical factors to her daughter’s health. After 8 years of learning how to practice organic and regenerative farming, Kristin Varela and her husband Chris Schild, both with successful start-up backgrounds launched a direct-to-consumer regenerative farm concept, raising pasture-raised proteins and safe produce, then delivering them straight from their farm direct to customers’ homes. They started in Colorado and have recently expanded into Utah and Idaho, both of which are serviced by their 600-acre regenerative farm sitting on the Utah/Idaho border.
