Intermountain Health has named veteran healthcare leader Jeromie Atkinson as chief supply chain officer for the seven-state nonprofit health system.

Atkinson returns to Intermountain with more than 30 years of experience, most recently at Allina Health where he served as the vice president of strategic sourcing and supply chain performance.

“I am thrilled to have Jeromie leading supply chain,” said Nanette Berensen, Intermountain Health chief operating officer. “Jeromie brings a wealth of innovative strategic thinking and deep subject matter expertise in supply chain science. He is a servant leaderwho prioritizes people and relationships first. He will undoubtedly lead our Supply Chain Organization to new heights. His vision and dedication to excellence make him the perfect fit for this pivotal role. Please join me in welcoming Jeromie back to IntermountainHealth.”

The work of supply chain operations is critical to Intermountain’s mission. Every surgery, every prescription, every patient visit depends on supplies arriving on time. At Intermountain Health, Atkinson will guide a systemwide team of more than 1,200 caregiversto manage $4 billion in products and services.

“I could not be more excited to return to Intermountain Health to work in supply chain at the first healthcare organization I worked for,” Atkinson said. “While much in the world of care delivery has changed in the last decade, the noble mission of Intermountainhas remained consistent, and I have continued to admire and follow Intermountain’s success no matter where I’velived . This is an organization and a supply chain with an incredible story, and I hope to honor that legacy.”
