The Utah Manufacturers Association (UMA) is proud to announce Johnny Ferry as its new President and CEO. A dedicated industry leader with over 25 years of homegrown manufacturing experience in Utah, Johnny brings a wealth of knowledge, leadership, and passion for the industry.
Most recently, Johnny served as Vice President of Business Development at Honeyville Inc., where he helped propel growth and innovation. He also has a history with UMA, having previously served on the organization’s board as an advisor and Chair in 2023, deepening his understanding of the challenges and opportunities Utah’s manufacturing community faces.
When asked about his new role, Johnny shared, “As I stand on the threshold of a new adventure, my thoughts go to defining and connecting with the needs of the UMA membership. As an owner of a manufacturing business, I can say ‘I’ve been there.’ I can legit ask the questions: How has UMA benefited my manufacturing business? What can UMA do to make a difference? To me, UMA should be a resource and conduit to support the everyday needs of our members. The value of UMA is unified representation, industry growth through programs and events, and protecting the business environment to support our members. If I can be part of an organization that believes in these values… sign me up!”
The UMA Board also wishes to extend its heartfelt gratitude to Megan Ware for her exemplary work as Interim President. Megan’s leadership has been instrumental during this transitional phase, and she continues to serve as Vice President of Member Affairs, strengthening UMA’s community and industry initiatives.
As UMA celebrates 120 years of service—advocating for growth, representing industry interests on the hill, creating programs to meet the evolving demands of business owners, and supporting the growth of Utah manufacturers—we are confident that Johnny Ferry will continue this proud legacy and lead UMA into an innovative and prosperous future.
