Park City— Masson Spine Institute opened its second outpatient surgery center in Park City, Utah, in June 2020. The Park City practice is located at 1820 Sidewinder Drive, Park City, UT 84060. The Masson Spine Institute has operated in Orlando, Florida, for more than 20 years.

“Opening a Park City outpatient spine surgery center has been on my mind for more than a decade,” explains Dr. Robert Masson. “We’ve owned a home in Park City since 2009 and purchased the surgical center building in 2013. Restrictions placed on surgeries classified as elective in the spring of 2020 due to the COVID-19 outbreaks accelerated our plans as we saw a drastic increase in the needs of our patients in our Orlando surgery center.”

Through the use of microsurgery and image navigation in surgery, the Masson Spine Institute offers patients the highest probability for extreme recovery from a spine health crisis. The Masson Spine Institute and community operates under the philosophy of showing up strong through pre-habilitation (preparing yourself for future trauma) and reshapes the dialogue with patients surrounding their recovery.  The practice incorporates a holistic, philosophical use of surgery after conservative methods of care have failed.

The Masson Spine Institute serves as an international destination for outpatient spine surgery, offering travel and concierge services to patients, including ground transportation, lodging, and Park City based outpatient skilled nursing and therapy. In addition to their outpatient practice, the institute will participate in several national spine surgical investigational studies, including the currently ongoing SMART CLINICAL STUDY, sponsored by Centinel Spine, designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy for two level Prodisc C in cervical disk injury.
