Utah — Jones, Skelton & Hochuli, PLC is pleased to announce the opening of a new office in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and a virtual office presence in Utah in the largest expansion of the firm’s footprint in its 38-year history. The Albuquerque office officially opened Monday, May 3.

“These moves reinforce our commitment to serving our national and regional clients in New Mexico and Utah with the same high standards of service, excellence, and care that we have developed while operating in Arizona since 1983,” says William D. Holm, JSH managing partner. “JSH has grown to be the largest and most experienced law firm of trial and appellate lawyers in Arizona. Over the years, our client base has expanded, as have the needs of our clients. This will position us to best represent our clients with significant operations in New Mexico and Utah.

JSH welcomes attorneys Raul P. Sedillo and Fernando C. Palomares to its New Mexico office. Raul and Fernando have spent their entire legal careers in the Albuquerque area and both have strong roots in New Mexico. 

“They share our firm’s commitment to unparalleled levels of efficient and responsive client services while focusing their work in practice areas that mirror ours,” Holm says.

The firm’s virtual office in Utah is supervised by Holm, who is licensed in Utah and splits his time between Utah and Arizona. A number of JSH’s Phoenix-based lawyers are also licensed in New Mexico, Utah, or both, and others are in the process of getting admitted.

“JSH intends to grow in both New Mexico and Utah as we remain nimble and agile in addressing legal needs for our clients in these markets,” Holm says. “Raul and Fernando’s work naturally aligns with our firm’s core practice areas, and our attorneys look forward to increased collaboration with them as we begin our work together.” 

About the Attorneys

Raul P. Sedillo, partner – Sedillo is a fourth-generation attorney who will lead the firm’s New Mexico office. Raul brings almost 20 years of litigation defense experience to his practice, focused primarily in the areas of trucking and transportation, products liability, and personal injury defense. He defends clients against a variety of litigation claims, including employment, general liability, civil rights, and bad faith insurance litigation. Born and raised in Belen, New Mexico, he completed his undergraduate studies at New Mexico State University and earned his law degree from the University of New Mexico School of Law. 

Fernando C. Palomares, senior associate attorney — Palomares defends clients in the transportation, manufacturing, and professional services industries in litigation including professional liability, product liability, and wrongful death claims. Raised in Anthony, New Mexico, Palomares earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting and his law degree from the University of New Mexico School of Law. Prior to law school, Fernando worked as an accountant for a CPA agency and a corporation engaged in development, investments, and asset management. In both positions, he gained valuable experience that he now uses to help his corporate clients.
