Finalists Shine at the 2024 Ignition Point Teenpreneur Pitchfest

Salt Lake City—The Ignition Point Academy proudly announced the winners of the third annual Ignition Point Teenpreneur Pitchfest this week. This unique pitch competition event, held at Tax Hive in Orem on Saturday, March 9, 2024, spotlighted the entrepreneurial spirit and innovative prowess of Utah’s teens. Hosted by Debbie Hart and Shawn Finnegan, the competition drew in 12 teen entrepreneurs who pitched their business ideas to a panel of esteemed judges, vying for cash prizes and mentorship opportunities.

The finalists were competing for a total of $750 in cash prizes, with awards allocated to the top three pitches and additional honorable mentions. Winners will also receive invaluable mentorship from some of Utah’s leading business figures to further develop their business ideas.

“We are thrilled to foster a supportive environment where young entrepreneurs can showcase their innovative ideas and gain practical insights from industry professionals,” said Debbie Hart, founder of Ignition Point Academy and the Teenpreneur Pitchfest.

Curtis Morley, an event judge and serial entrepreneur praised the event, noting, “The Ignition Point Teenpreneur Pitchfest is a vital platform for nurturing the next generation of entrepreneurs. It’s inspiring to see these young individuals demonstrate such creativity and passion for their business ideas.”

 

Ignition Point Teenpreneur Pitchfest 2024 Winners

  • First Place: Rhodes brothers with Crystal Clear Window Washing – A groundbreaking approach to window cleaning that ensures streak-free and long-lasting cleanliness.

  • Second Place: Hannah Allen with The Awesome Project – A singer camp for teens with a focus on sustainable gardening and nature.

  • Third Place: Alex Mankouski Photography and Hyrum Lamont with Dynamite Lawn Mower Care – Showcasing the diverse talent and innovation among Utah’s young entrepreneurs.

Judges for the event included Curtis Morley, Deb Gabor, Heidi McNulty, Travis Lish, Christine Diamond, and Taylor Proctor, all renowned for their contributions to Utah’s business community. They offered contestants constructive feedback and guidance.

The public is encouraged to learn more about these innovative projects and support the next generation of Utah entrepreneurs.
