CW Urban to construct affordable housing in Park City

Park City — C.W. Urban, an innovative Utah real estate developer, announces a new affordable housing project called The Village, located in Silver Creek, a master-planned development in Park City.

The project consists of 38 condominiums including a mix of studio, 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and 3-bedroom dwellings. Of that number, 24 of the units will be sold as workforce housing to households earning 55 percent to 80 percent of the Summit County Area Median Income. The remaining 14 units will be sold at market prices. The affordable units will be integrated with the market rate units and C.W. anticipates having all units completed within 18 months.

The Village at Park City is part of Silver Creek, a 250-acre fully entitled master-planned community, located off Interstate 80 and Highway 40 which was started in October of 2016. The neighborhood offers ample green space and a variety of current and future community amenities as well as easy access to some of Summit County’s best biking and hiking trails. Convenient access to major area highways makes The Village at Park City an ideal community to meet the housing needs of Summit County’s workforce.

“Silver Creek Condos will fill an underserved niche in Park City and provide affordable housing units geared toward the local workforce. We couldn’t be more thrilled to be a small part of the solution,” says Darlene Carter, Division President of C.W. Urban.

C.W. Urban will serve as General Contractor and Architecture and Design Firm. Capital was provided by Taylor Derrick Capital (TDC) a private real estate lender based out of Salt Lake City. TDC specializes in construction and bridge financing for residential and commercial real estate projects throughout the Western US.
