Campfire Industries honored by US Chamber of Commerce

South Jordan— The US Chamber of Commerce announced Campfire Industries from South Jordan, Utah as one of the finalists for its annual Dream Big Awards. The Awards, presented by Chase for Business with support from MetLife, celebrate the achievements of small businesses and honor their contributions to America’s economic growth.

“Over the last several months, small business owners have faced challenge after challenge. Yet, despite these challenges small business owners never stop innovating, pivoting, taking risks, working hard, and dreaming big,” said Tom Sullivan, US Chamber of Commerce Vice President of Small Business Policy. “Small businesses are a critical and vibrant sector of the US economy. The US Chamber is proud to celebrate the very best in American small business through our Dream Big Awards.”

The Dream Big Awards program includes Business Achievement Awards to recognize excellence in eight categories and reflect the leading businesses in each of the following areas: community support and leadership, emerging, green/sustainable, minority-owned, veteran- owned, woman-owned, young entrepreneur, and small business of the year. This year’s finalists were selected from a record of over 700 applicants.

The Young Entrepreneur Business Achievement Award recognizes the success of one small business and honors its contributions to the growth and diversity of the American economy. This award recognizes small business owner, founder or cofounders, aged between 14 and 25 who have attained outstanding business achievement.

Spencer Harrison, owner of Campfire Industries says “Being nominated for this award is a big deal for our company. I started this company when I was 13 years old and have worked hard during the last 7 years to build a company that now generates over $100K a year in revenue. Someone told me a few years ago that it takes about 10 years to be an ‘overnight success’ and we are right on track!”

Award winners will be announced at the virtual Dream Big Awards program on Thursday, October 15 at 2:00pm ET.

Campfire Industries offers a line of camping products including the Wolf’em Stick.

While in junior high school, Spencer enrolled in the Young Entrepreneur’s Academy, YEA, to learn the ropes of starting his own business and created the Wolf’em Stick, a campfire biscuit roasting stick with the help of his brother, Tanner. The idea of cooking fresh biscuits over a fire isn’t new, but no one had really brought the idea to market. The Wolf’em Stick is used to cook bread bowls that can be filled with sweet or savory fillings such as jam, pie filling, pudding, Nutella, chili or stew.

Spencer is continually updating the Wolf’em Stick to give consumers the best experience. The latest version of the Wolf’em Stick has three components: a traditional marshmallow roasting fork, a Wolf’em cooking attachment, and a rotary handle to make it easy to cook every marshmallow, hot dog, and Wolf’em biscuit cup to perfection.

Spencer has received two patents for his product and has sold over 70,000 Wolf’em Sticks nationwide. “The most rewarding part of the Wolf’em Stick business,” says Spencer “is being able to help others socialize around a fire and “wolf down” some great treats. The Wolf’em Stick puts truly puts FUN into outdoor cooking!”

The Wolf’em product line has now expanded to include a Wolf’em Stick Carry Bag and a campfire cookbook.
