BoomStartup announces second pitch competition
Salt Lake City — Utah’s own BoomStartup Accelerator is now accepting applications to its second pitch competition. The PitchUp Two competition is open to all startups looking to improve the future and that have made less than $250,000 in the past year. Over $15,000 in cash and services will be awarded to the competition winners. PitchUp Two is now accepting applications at https://boomstartup.com/pitchup/ and entry deadline is August 20, 2021.
The competition is hosted by BoomStartup Accelerator, a leading open accelerator program, that assists entrepreneurs by providing community, expert advice, and funding.
The competition is hosted virtually to encourage participation from around the world. PitchUp Two positively impacts not only the Utah community but the global entrepreneur community by recognizing innovative businesses — regardless of location.
PitchUp Two offers over $7,000 in cash prizes, and more than $8,000 in consulting services, to startups wanting to take their business to the next level. Submissions must be received by August 20, 2021 and the final pitch competition will be broadcasted live on September 3, 2021. Applications can be made here: https://boomstartup.com/pitchup/
Competition Categories
The competition categories were chosen because they address growth opportunities and where creative innovations and approaches are developing. The top three entries for each category will compete in a live pitch where several judges will choose the category winner.
One lucky finalist will be selected as the Popular Vote by the audience, and will receive an additional cash prize. Another finalist will receive the STRT Community Uplift Award, a nod to the participant with the greatest community impact.
Businesses entering the competition must choose the category that best suits their intention.
IMPACT – innovations benefiting the underserved or endangered, albeit communities, concepts, environment.
HEALTH AND WELLNESS – innovations improving living conditions, health, wellness, or happiness.
PRODUCTIVITY – innovations enhancing the future of work, business, or commerce.
EDUCATION – innovations enhancing knowledge sharing, academics, or teaching experiences.
ENERGY – innovations reducing climate impact, creating efficiencies, or providing new forms of power.
HUMANITY – innovations strengthening culture, connections, community, or policy.
FINANCIAL – innovations providing capital management, accessibility, or security.
