UTOPIA Fiber announces Jeff Erwin as COO

Murray — Due to unprecedented business growth and marketplace demand for fast and reliable fiber-optic broadband service, UTOPIA Fiber today announced that Jeff Erwin has joined the company as COO, reporting directly to executive director Roger Timmerman. 

Erwin, formerly a managing partner at Smart Fund, a Dallas, TX-based construction and property management company, also led organizational planning and execution at Lucid Software Inc. in Salt Lake City, UT, and business unit strategy and portfolio management practices at Vivint Smart Home in Provo, UT. 

“I am thrilled to join UTOPIA Fiber as COO at a time when we are witnessing the greater need for access to fast, reliable internet service to promote the growth of our region and enable our cities to meet the digital demands of their residents and businesses,” says Erwin. “I am looking forward to establishing a more process-oriented and data-driven approach to further improve on our customer experience.”

Erwin graduated from Harvard University with an MA in Management and Finance and was a resident of the prestigious Harvard Innovation Lab. He holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Iowa.
