What are you most looking forward to accomplishing in 2024?

After several years of preparation, I am anxious to start building The Point—an unparalleled innovation community on 600 acres of state-owned land near Point of the Mountain. We have sought extensive public input, conducted sophisticated market analysis, engaged talented partners, created an exciting development plan, raised funding and completed demolition ahead of schedule. Now, it’s time to deliver the vision.

How do you define success for yourself and your company?

Years ago, I decided I would measure my success by the number and quality of personal stories I could tell my future grandchildren. Many of the people I admired most could draw on an anthology of unusual experiences full of life lessons. That approach to success made me—a naturally conservative person—more adventurous, more willing to take risks and stray outside my comfort zone.
