The Snell & Wilmer Charitable Foundation awards a three-year grant to Guadalupe School

SALT LAKE CITY. UT— Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Guadalupe School has been awarded a three-year grant from the Snell & Wilmer Charitable Foundation.

For over 56 years, Guadalupe School has served Salt Lake City’s diverse immigrant and refugee communities, the majority of whom are Hispanic or Latino. Guadalupe is more than just a school—we are a full-family organization dedicated to improving lives through education-based programs and services designed for children and adults alike. Through personalized, needs-based education with a focus on literacy, we help set the stage for academic, economic, and social success. Through removing literacy and language barriers and providing access to vital resources, our families build skills for greater self-advocacy and a brighter future. Guadalupe School serves families in the Poplar Grove, Rose Park, and West Valley City area.

“We are grateful to Snell & Wilmer for supporting Guadalupe School’s Early Learning Center. Their investment in our youngest students makes a huge difference by setting them up for academic success,” says Richard Pater, Executive Director of Guadalupe School. “Thanks to Snell & Wilmer’s investment, we have been able to expand our Early Learning Center to better support the students and families in need. Thank you for your support.”

Philanthropy is an important element of Snell & Wilmer’s broader commitment to corporate social responsibility. To this end, we established the Snell & Wilmer Charitable Foundation in 2002 with the goal to have a positive and direct impact on the lives of children in the communities we serve by supporting and enhancing their early education. We achieve this objective through three-year monetary grants, administered through the Arizona Community Foundation, to carefully selected nonprofit organizations in the communities where the firm has an established office. Our current grant cycle runs from 2022 – 2024 and includes 15 organizations. Since its inception, the Snell & Wilmer Foundation has donated more than $5 million to selected organizations.
