Angela Smith is a Salt Lake City-based investor at Origin Ventures, a nationwide, early-stage venture capital fund. She is the co-lead of the SoGal Foundation—Utah Chapter and Seedlings, a female-centric angel investing group. Angela holds an MBA from Brigham Young University. During her MBA, Angela was an investment intern with Pelion Venture Partners, iDE Global and the Sorenson Impact Fund. Angela was also the managing director of deals for Cougar Capital, a student-run venture fund. Prior to receiving an MBA, Angela was a high school social studies teacher for six years in Houston, TX and San Jose, CA.
