Event Overview
The Women to Watch award honors 40 of the most influential female business leaders and spotlights one deserving leader with a Lifetime Achievement Award for her impact on people and the greater economy.
Women to Watch brings together the state’s need-to-know founders, executives, trailblazers and changemakers for a milestone event dedicated to recognition, connection and momentum. Each honoree represents how far women in business have come and the foundation they are building for what’s next.
This event is more than an awards program. It’s a platform, an experience and a network. It’s a statement about the future of leadership in Utah. About the Nomination Process

Who can submit a nomination?
Anyone may nominate a candidate. Great nominations usually come from someone who works closely with the candidate and knows about their best qualities and contributions.
Is there a fee to submit a nomination?
No!
What is the nomination process like?
To submit a nomination, click on the Nominate Here button on this page. You’ll fill out a simple form with basic information about the nominee, in addition to questions relating to their achievements, influence and why you think they are a woman to watch.
How are nominees selected?
Nominations are scored by a panel of business and industry experts. Scores are then averaged and ranked to determine the award recipients.
What information should be included in the nomination?
Great nominations that stand out provide specific details about the contributions and impact of the nominee. Consider including information about your nominee’s expertise, accomplishments, and leadership skills, as well as explanations about your nominee’s unique traits and other awards they’ve won. Strong nominations also incorporate details about initiatives the nominee has led or where they’ve volunteered or mentored others. For more details on nomination information, please visit our award Q&A page here.
Do multiple nominations for a candidate improve their chances of being selected?
No. Honorees are selected based on merit rather than popular vote. It is best to compile all the information into one well-written nomination. As the judges read through all the nominations—sometimes hundreds of them—it’s easier for them to get a full picture of the nominee if all information is in the same nomination.
