Thread announces new nonprofit organization, Carry On

Provo — Thread® is a Provo-based company that does more than just develop accessory products to make day-to-day life easier. They believe in making a positive impact on people’s lives, thus creating their very own nonprofit organization: The Carry On Foundation

Thread has solidified their slogan “Carry on” this past year. While “Carry on” is a nod to the carry products, this mantra of theirs is a two-fold approach; meaning they have developed products to carry personal items in a minimal, expressive way but also have the capability to carry on through challenges and trials life will throw in the way. With life’s adventures and trials, there should still be a way for its consumers to discover their own identity and authenticity in things. With “Carry on,” also represents a narrative of continual progression. It means to overcome in the face of adversity. It is synonymous with resilience. It requires discipline, humility, and courage. With this in mind, The Carry On Foundation’s mission is to utilize action sports to teach resilience skills, promote mental health, and foster the development of confidence, competence, connection, and character.

The Foundation has many plans for upcoming programs to help achieve their mission. Just this week, one of their dream programs went live: The Skateboarding Program. This program is in their very own private skate park in Lehi, Utah. The skateboarding facility offers a wide variety of lessons designed for progression and building confidence in the program, anywhere from beginners to advanced of ages four to fourteen. This specific program offers:

  • Private Lessons: 1 on 1 attention, any skill level, and the ability to choose your coach. Ages 4+
  • Group Lessons: 90-minute lessons, grouped by age and skill level, and mental skill training. Ages 5-14.
  • Summer Camp: Four consecutive days, three hours per day, crafts, activities, and snacks are included. Ages 5-14.

When it comes to a foundation that leads by example, Carry On has a bright future and will continue to celebrate courage while kids overcome their fears. Lead skateboarding coach, Cole Parkinson, states, “Watching young kids overcome mental fear and other mental blocks through sport psychology training is the most fulfilling thing ever.” Carry On’s skateboarding is just the first of many adventurous programs to come; surfing, skiing, and snowboarding will soon be added to the roster of action sport activities.

To carry on the impact Thread is doing with their Carry On Foundation, please donate to help change lives. All donations are contributing to helping them teach individuals mental skills to help those in need “Carry on” in life.

###

Thread was born out of the need for expression. Offering products that allow their consumers to do what they love. Thread is redefining the way people carry “themselves” and look good doing it, even now through their nonprofit organization: Carry On Foundation. They know that functionality and expression are woven together to create the perfect extension of who their audiences can be. On the shelf, the hook, in a bag or pocket, Thread will help people hold it together while people “Carry on.”
