Nomi Health provides COVID-19 testing to Sun Belt Conference

Orem — Nomi Health, one of the largest COVID-19 testing providers in the United States, has partnered with the Sun Belt Conference to provide COVID-19 testing for student-athletes, coaches, referees, and staff in accordance with National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) guidelines. Nomi Health’s ability to deliver COVID-19 tests was instrumental in enabling the Sun Belt to launch its basketball season earlier this fall.

“Providing our student-athletes the opportunity for a safe, competitive season is our top priority. Our partnership with Nomi played a vital role in making that possible,” said Keith Gill, Commissioner of the Sun Belt Conference. “We vetted several COVID-19 test providers and Nomi stood apart in its ability to deliver an accurate and efficient testing program that met the needs of our schools. We are grateful for Nomi’s expertise and look forward to continuing our work with them.”

The Sun Belt Conference comprises 12 universities spanning seven states across the South, competing in 18 NCAA Division I sports. The NCAA outlines strict guidelines to protect athletes during pre-season, regular season and postseason activities. As part of the program, Nomi is providing FDA-authorized testing supplies to the Sun Belt Conference. Since Nomi’s partnership with the SBC, more than 15,000 COVID-19 tests for student athletes and staff have been delivered.

“We are proud to be a part of helping to bring back collegiate athletics as safely as possible,” said Joshua Walker, co-founder and COO, Nomi Health. “The Sun Belt joins a growing roster of organizations that rely on Nomi for a validated testing solution spanning from testing to results reporting. The Sun Belt Conference needed to scale testing quickly, and we were able to deliver a solution that met their specific needs to help them successfully compete throughout their entire fall season and continue with its winter season sports.”

This partnership amplifies Nomi’s growing footprint, supporting local governments and organizations, having completed more than three million COVID-19 tests across more than 300 testing sites nationwide. For more information about Nomi Health’s COVID-19 testing solutions, visit www.nomihealth.com.
