Raising Cane’s celebrates the grand opening of first West Valley City restaurant

West Valley City — Whether catching a Grizzlies game, watching a show at the USANA Amphitheatre or shopping at Valley Fair Mall, there’s one thing that will soon make a day in West Valley City even better – Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers.

That’s right! Raising Cane’s is set to start sharing its ONE LOVE® – quality chicken finger meals – with the West Valley City Community on Tuesday, Dec. 14. To kick off the grand opening celebration, Mayor Ron Bigelow and ChamberWest will host an official ribbon-cutting ceremony starting at 7 am at the new Restaurant, located at 3346 S. 5600 W.

“Caniacs” will want to join in on the fun because Cane’s will accept entries from 7:30-8:30 am for its “Lucky 20” drawing to award 20 Customers ages 13 and older Free Cane’s for a Year! Winners will be announced at 8:30 am, and Caniacs must be present to win. The first 100 dine-in Customers will also receive a free Cane’s t-shirt. Grizzlies fans will also want to attend because Grizzbee will be onsite during the celebration to pump up the opening day crowd. To keep the celebration going, the Granger High School Band will perform a mini Christmas concert starting at 5 pm.

“We’re super excited to continue our growth throughout the Salt Lake City area and can’t wait to start sharing our ONE LOVE with the West Valley City Community,” says Restaurant Leader Whitney Mapson. “Our new Restaurant is in a great location and we’ve hired some incredible Crewmembers who will join us as we work to become an integral part of this Community. We have a lot of fun things planned for our grand opening and we can’t wait to celebrate with everyone!”

As part of its commitment to Community involvement, Raising Cane’s is hosting an in-restaurant fundraiser on Thursday, Dec. 16. 15 percent of all sales between 5-8 p.m. will be donated to the Utah Food Bank to help feed people in need during the holiday season.

This year, Raising Cane’s was one of just three restaurant brands named to Forbes’ “Best Employers For New Grads” Top 100 list, and the company’s “fast-paced, fun culture and growth opportunities” earned it a spot on Glassdoor’s coveted “100 Best Places to Work in the US” list in 2021. Cane’s is still seeking enthusiastic individuals to join its West Valley City Crew. Interested candidates should apply at WorkAtCanes.com. Applicants will be contacted to set up an interview after applying.

West Valley City’s new Raising Cane’s will serve Customers through its mobile app, takeout, dine-in, double drive-thru, and on its expansive patio. Open every day from 9 am to midnight, Raising Cane’s will be the perfect destination for lunch, dinner, and late-night meals. When West Valley City’s first Raising Cane’s opens, it will mark the third in Utah.

At Raising Cane’s, it all starts with 100 percent premium white meat chicken tenderloins that are marinated, hand-battered, and cooked to order. The menu is also renowned for its craveable – some say addictive – secret-recipe Cane’s sauce, crinkle-cut fries, coleslaw, Texas toast, freshly brewed sweet tea, and fresh-squeezed lemonade.

Raising Cane’s is consistently ranked among the top restaurant brands for food quality, speed of service, cleanliness, and customer service. In 2020, Sandelman ranked Raising Cane’s the third-highest Restaurant brand in the U.S. for Overall Customer Satisfaction. Technomic® also recently announced Cane’s was voted by its Customers as the top fast-casual Restaurant for Customer Safety during the pandemic.
