Jones Waldo elects Nathan Thomas as next firm president

Salt Lake City — Jones, Waldo, Holbrook & McDonough announces that long time president Keven Rowe recently made the decision to step down from the Board of Directors and as president of the Firm, a position he held for 18 years. Rowe is a Real Estate lawyer who represents clients in commercial finance, complex real estate development and leasing, and corporate law. Rowe will be remaining with the Firm and focusing on providing his clients with the high caliber of service they have come to expect. “All of us at Jones Waldo commend Keven for his leadership and are grateful for his many years of service. His contributions have been invaluable and we are glad that he remains with the Firm to mentor the next generation of leaders,” says Sue Skanchy, Chief Operating Officer.  

Upon Rowe’s decision, the Firm is pleased to announce that Nathan Thomas a Litigation Shareholder in the Salt Lake City office will be the next firm president. His term will begin today, April 22, 2021.

“Keven has been a great leader to our firm and has served with passion and perspective at all times,” says Nathan, “I have had the privilege of observing Keven’s management of the firm firsthand for the past several years, his has not been an easy job, yet he has performed it with aplomb at all times. I appreciate the opportunity to continue Keven’s efforts to keep Jones Waldo one of Utah’s most prestigious law firms.”

Nathan is a litigation lawyer who represents individuals, privately owned businesses, and publicly traded companies in a number of different industries. Nathan is an experienced civil litigator helping his clients navigate the legal system and helping them move forward. He represents clients in all types of intellectual property disputes, antitrust and competitive issues, as well as experience litigating numerous complex business disputes, creditors’ rights issues, securities issues, and fraud. In addition to his litigation practice, Nathan also practices employer-side labor attorney, and has become a trusted advisor on employer-union relations for private companies, non-profit arts organizations, and municipalities.

Along with the election of Nathan Thomas as firm president, Jed Burton was elected as the newest member of the firm’s Board of Directors. Additionally attorneys, Kyle Leishman, Mark Tolman, Liz Butler and Chris Hadley were re-elected to the Board of Directors joining Daniel Daines, Blake Terry, and Lewis Francis. Jones Waldo’s Executive Committee will be comprised of Nathan Thomas as President, Daniel Daines as chairman of the Board, and Kyle Leishman as Secretary.
