About the Nomination Process
How are honorees selected?
Honorees are chosen based on a combination of revenue growth and total revenue metrics. Each submission asks for details on the company's financial performance over the last five years. Applicants are then vetted by Tanner LLC for financial accuracy and ranked in order of their percentage of growth.
Who can submit a nomination?
Anyone may nominate their company. Great nominations usually come from someone who works closely with company leadership and who has a sound grasp of the growth and financial performance of the business.
Is there a fee to submit a nomination?
Yes. Although most Utah Business awards don’t charge for submitting a nomination, the Fast 50 requires a $299 entrance fee to cover costs associated with vetting applications through a financial auditor. If selected, the submission fee can be used toward an honoree package.
What is the nomination process like?
To submit a nomination, click on the Submit a Nomination button on this page. You’ll then be asked to fill out a form with basic information about the nominee company, leadership contact information (such as the CEO and CFO) and details regarding company revenue and performance over the last five years.
What information should be included in the nomination?
Great nominations that stand out provide specific details about the growth, expansion and reach of their company. Be prepared to share the last five years worth of company financial information, in addition to listing contact information for company leadership.
Do multiple nominations for a candidate improve their chances of being selected?
No. Honorees are selected based on merit rather than popular vote, so it is best to compile all relevant information into one well-written nomination. Please collaborate with your teams instead of submitting multiple forms. As the judges read through all the nominations– sometimes sorting through hundreds of applications– it’s easier for them to get a full picture of the nominee company if all information is in the same nomination.
