WipeDrive v9.1 Enterprise Receives Common Criteria EAL2+ Certification

American ForkWhiteCanyon Software, the trusted data sanitization tool for corporate and government organizations, today announced that its certified data erasure product has earned Common Criteria Evaluation Assurance Level (EAL) 2+, augmented with ALC_FLR.2 and ASE_TSS.2. This certification by the International Standards Organization means the WipeDrive solution has undergone rigorous testing and review and meets all data security requirements.

Common Criteria is an arrangement by 26 countries in Europe, Australasia, Asia and North America to ensure that evaluations of Information Technology (IT) products and protection profiles are performed to high and consistent standards. Certified products can then be procured by member nations with confidence in the security of those products and profiles. This partnership eliminates the burden of duplicating evaluations of IT products.

WhiteCanyon Software provided WipeDrive Enterprise to a certified Common Criteria Testing Lab which tested the deletion solution against the data erasure security target. WipeDrive Enterprise met and exceeded all requirements. This certification demonstrates WhiteCanyon’s commitment to ensuring the data sanitization tool is compliant with all government and military erasure protocols.

“We are proud that WipeDrive v9.1 Enterprise has been certified and recognized by Common Criteria EAL2+,” said Paul Katzoff, CEO of WhiteCanyon Software. “This certification displays to our clients that WipeDrive Enterprise will meet and exceed all internal and external data removal and security requirements for data storage devices.”

WipeDrive’s ability to securely erase SSDs, NVMe and platter-based drives helps organizations meet HIPAA, SOX, GDPR, and PCI compliance. As the industry leader in data erasure, WipeDrive’s platform integrates with multiple custom and industry ERP systems providing a simple solution to the end of life process.
