BACKGROUND: The Utah Jazz are dedicated to the sport of basketball and youth development. The availability of Shoot 360 technology will benefit participants in Jazz Youth camps and clinics. The first of these unique-to-Utah training facilities is opening in Lehi with future locations in Kaysville and Salt Lake County.

Shoot 360 uses cutting-edge science and technology to provide instant training feedback in a gamified environment. Instant audio and visual feedback on every shot allows players to make real time corrections to their shooting form.

Through high-tech shooting stations and simulated skill cages, data-derived results are collected and sent directly to a players’ mobile app in real time. The analysis includes measuring shot arc, tracking shooting percentage, measuring left/right differentials, and various other elements to improve shot accuracy.

In the skills cages, participants are guided by virtual trainers who challenge their ball-handling and passing efficiency through a series of moving targets. Shoot 360 has also gamified the training experience, allowing athletes in any of its facilities to compete in shooting games against athletes in other locations in real time.

The Utah Jazz Shoot 360 facilities presented by Visionary Homes will enhance a robust Jazz youth program, which engages thousands of youth in camps and clinics each year. The Jazz also have the largest and longest-running youth basketball league in the NBA with more than 60,000 participants in six states.
