St. George Chamber of Commerce announces new VP

St. George-– The St. George Area Chamber of Commerce (SGACC) is pleased to welcome Jordan Hess as vice president of Member Services and Public Policy. Hess will oversee all business advocacy efforts and member relations.

With a background in coalition building and public policy, Hess brings a wealth of knowledge to the Chamber’s advocacy efforts. He began his career working in Congress where he served as a legislative assistant and policy advisor to numerous United States Senators. He was recruited to direct the Coalition and Policy Promotion division at the Heritage Foundation in Washington, D.C. where he worked with governors, legislators, activists, analysts, and donors to build consensus around good policy across the country. Hess holds a bachelor degree from BYU and Master Degree in Legislative Affairs from George Washington University.

“As our Chamber and community grow, it is important that the St. George Area Chamber of Commerce work collaboratively with government officials and staff at the local, state and national level,” said Don Willie, SGACC President and CEO. “Jordan will be an outstanding advocate for our Chamber members and all businesses in Washington County.”

In addition to Hess, the Chamber has hired Adlai Elison as its Member Services and Public Policy Coordinator. Together Hess and Elison make up the Chamber’s newly formed member services and public policy team.

In addition to this new division, the chamber has also reorganized its events division with the hiring of Adriana Howard as Events and Marketing Coordinator as well as the promotion of Lexi DeMille to Events and Social Media Coordinator.

Long known for its education and networking events, the SGACC has increased its investment in this benefit to ensure member businesses, nonprofits and others are using best practices to grow their operation. The chamber will continue to lead out, showing the community how businesses can move forward and operate safely, even during a pandemic. Howard and DeMille will oversee a robust events agenda to elevate our member businesses and connect our community.
