Salt Lake City Building Boom Continues with C9 Flats

Salt Lake City—Ray Tuntland, senior associate at Coldwell Banker Commercial Advisors (CBC Advisors), represented Sojourn SLC in a land acquisition for future development of C9 Flats, a 75-foot tall multifamily building development, located in the Central Ninth district at 1075 S 200 W, Salt Lake City. The multifamily community at C9 Flats will be professionally managed by Greystar.

“It was a pleasure to work with Sojourn in the land acquisition,” commented Tuntland. “With an increased building boom in the Central Ninth neighborhood of Salt Lake, it was opportunistic to represent a company with such high integrity and world-class properties who will enhance the neighborhoods around them.”

C9 Flats is projected to be a 97-unit building with four floors of residential occupancy above a two-story, 116 parking-space parking podia. The development will occupy the southern lots of the block on Goltz Avenue between Jefferson Avenue and 200 West.

“Good real estate brokers make deals happen,” said Alec Harwin, Developer at Sojourn SLC. “Ray Tuntland from CBC Advisors showed professional expertise and went beyond what was expected. This development would not have happened without his guidance.”

With its mountain and downtown city views, the C9 Flats will include boutique apartment homes with industrial chic touches, including a rooftop terrace; a fitness studio with separate yoga, barre and spin rooms; bike, ski and snowboard storage; a paw spa; electric car charging stations; covered parking; co-working spaces; iPhone remote building access; onsite single stream recycling program; urban studios, one- and two-bedroom apartment homes; quartz countertops and high gloss cabinets; plank style flooring; LED lighting; and six-foot windows and sliding glass doors.

Anticipated to open in the Spring of 2018, C9 Flats joins five other new multifamily developments in the redesigned Central Ninth district. The neighborhood will feature urban studios, downtown and mountain views with nearby access to public transit and recreation.
