Newmark Grubb ACRES Welcomes Three Retail Experts

Salt Lake City–Newmark Grubb ACRES (NGA) is pleased to welcome Retail Directors Tony Coop and John and Jonathan Owens to their Salt Lake City office.  All three agents will play a key role in bolstering Newmark’s market leading brand and retail division.

Tony Coop and John Owens each respectively bring with them 25 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry with Jonathan Owens building a name for himself in the field for the last decade. Mr. Coop makes the move to NGA from Colliers International while both John and Jonathan come from Cushman and Wakefield.

In addition to his impressive real estate tenure, John Owens also has a strong background in law. He is a member of the American Bar Association and received both his Bachelor of Science and Juris Doctorate in Law at the University of Utah. This in-depth knowledge of real estate law has set him apart from others in the field and his unique expertise has aided in fostering the trust of clients and investors. John has had the opportunity to work with many notable clients including, Walmart Stores, AutoZone, Chase Bank, Larry H. Miller Companies, Sam’s Club, Uinta Golf, and many more.

A native to Utah with a background in sales that crosses several different markets and industries, Tony has been successful by earning trust, excelling at analyzing market opportunities, and skillfully organizing and negotiating deals. Through his years of experience, Tony has developed an impressive network of tenants, developers, and investors to help ensure that he is always able to fulfill and exceed client expectations. Before beginning his real estate career, Tony started his sales background in the International Commercial Aerospace Industry and then office office solutions.

Jonathan Owens focuses on tenant representation for both national and regional tenants with an eye on further strengthening their existing presence as well as making an entry into the market.  In addition to Jonathan’s tenant relationships, Jonathan has represented multiple developers in his role of leasing agent as well as assisting in site selection and development. Jonathan continues to forge strong relationships with cities and municipalities as he assists his clients through the development, construction and entitlement processes. Jonathan stands out from his competitors when it comes to knowledge and expertise. In 2015, Jonathan’s achievements were recognized by Utah Business Magazine when he was honored with one of their “20 in their 20’s” awards.
