HEBER VALLEY, Utah — The Heber Valley Chamber of Commerce, alongside community leaders, residents, project partners, and outdoor recreation advocates, recently celebrated the official opening of Wasatch County’s first asphalt all-wheels pump track with a ribbon cutting ceremony at Southfield Park in Heber City, Utah.

The ribbon cutting ceremony was held on May 29th and marked the completion of a community-driven project that expands local recreation infrastructure while promoting active transportation, outdoor wellness, and year-round family-friendly activities. Standard wheeled sports are welcome on the track. (Motorized vehicles are prohibited.)

Located at 895 West 100 South in the northwest corner of Southfield Park, the new $700,000 facility was built by Wasatch Trails Foundation and is designed to provide a fun, accessible, and inclusive recreation opportunity for riders of all ages and abilities. The fully paved track accommodates bicycles, scooters, skateboards, roller skates, and adaptive wheelchairs, creating a welcoming environment for beginners while still offering challenges and flow features for more experienced riders.

“The new pump track is a tremendous addition to Heber Valley’s growing outdoor recreation offerings,” said Dallin Koecher, Executive Director of the Heber Valley Chamber, Tourism, and Economic Development office. “Projects like this enhance quality of life for residents, provide new opportunities for families to be active together, and further strengthen Heber Valley’s reputation as an outdoor recreation destination.”

Designed for continuous riding, the asphalt track features a series of rollers, berms, and flowing turns that allow riders to generate momentum through body movement. The location also benefits from direct access to the area’s connected pathway system, making it easily reachable from both Heber City and Midway.
