People’s Utah Bancorp changes name to Altabancorp™

American Fork— People’s Utah Bancorp, the holding company for Altabank™, today announced that it is continuing to align its brand and officially changing its name to Altabancorp™. This change completes the rebranding of the Bank, which began in November, 2019.  The unified brand clarifies the size and scale of the Bank and more accurately represents its mission and market position.

“Today is another milestone for the Bank in that it represents the culmination of our branding strategy,” said Len Williams, president and CEO of Altabancorp™ (Nasdaq: ALTA). “Being the best bank for your business means making it easier for clients to understand who we are and what we represent. The change to the holding company name reinforces and aligns with our bank name and brand. Our unified brand enhances our marketing efforts and makes clear we have the size and ability to meet clients’ needs.”

In addition to the Altabancorp™ name, the parent company also has a new ticker symbol on the Nasdaq – ALTA.  The symbol is expected to be more meaningful and easier to remember for shareholders, analysts and the market.

While the Bank and holding company names have changed, the people have not. Businesses and individuals continue to experience the same high standards of banking professionals since the bank changed its name, and now the holding company will follow suit. In addition, shareholders need not worry as shares will automatically switch to the new ticker symbol.

“We feel stronger than ever thanks to the commitment of our clients, employees, communities and shareholders; and we look forward to continuing to evolve and grow the company,” said Williams.
