Mountain West Commercial helps non-profit find new warehouse

Murray — It has been nearly four years in the making. The Other Side Academy (TOSA) has been searching for a warehouse to purchase that complemented their vocational and therapeutic community. The warehouse will expand operations for their self-funded vocational programs that include The Other Side Movers, The Other Side Thrift Boutique, and The Other Side Construction Company. TOSA leaders hope the expanded capacity will enable them to add more vocational programs such as welding and automotive repair schools. In addition to the warehouse property, TOSA also bought the empty lot adjacent to the new purchase that they hope will host a community garden for their students.

CEO of The Other Side Academy Tim Stay and Director of Operations David Durocher partnered with Mountain West Commercial Real Estate to help them with their search for the right warehouse that encapsulated the best location, vision, and charter of The Other Side Academy. Agents Bill and Mary Street along with Nic Woods were pivotal to finding the right warehouse. “We searched for nearly four years and feel like we’ve found the right location to suit our needs,” says Stay.

The warehouse will be home to The Other Side Movers, the top-rated moving company in Utah. The Other Side Academy leverages the success of their vocational programs to self-fund and supports the costs of their program. “Anyone with addiction challenges is welcome to join our program at no cost to that individual,” says Durocher.

The Street team has worked philanthropically with TOSA for years; they feel honored to have been a part of this new step for TOSA and its students. They hope to continue working with the school and helping its founders fulfill their mission: to change lives by changing behavior.
