Mountain Town Olive Oil Celebrates 10 Years on Historic Main Street

Park City—As national chains have moved into Main Street, Jessica McCleary is proud to celebrate a critical small business milestone – the 10-year anniversary of Mountain Town Olive Oil – and wants Park City to join her. Beginning in a small space above Bangkok Thai, the last decade has seen Mountain Town Olive Oil expand greatly, first to space above Mary Jane’s in 2012 and then again last summer with the addition of a new demo kitchen behind the store.

Looking to expand the opportunity for customers to engage with the variety of oils, vinegars and spice blends offered in the store, McCleary launched The Next Course, a cooking demonstration and tasting class. Working with chef Deanna Fitchat, of DeeLicious Park City, The Next Course offers a weekly menu of 3-5 dishes that highlight unique products and flavor combinations available at Mountain Town Olive Oil. Elevating others creativity with her specialty products and unparalleled customer service is a business model that has legs.

“It’s been so much fun to help others expand their flavor profiles and discover ways to elevate their own cooking,” said McCleary. “I love finding unique products and sharing those discoveries with my customers. Our customers get to explore great tasting dishes featuring our products and, most of all, enjoy them.”

When Mountain Town Olive Oil opened its doors in 2009, its mission was to bring the highest quality olive oils, vinegars, and gourmet foods to our growing mountain town in an interactive and sensory experience.  Within a few years, the store was hosting Olive Oil 101 courses for book clubs, ladies nights out, corporate events and small groups to show customers the potential in expanding their use of olive oil and vinegars. Over the years the store has expanded to offer a wide variety of unique spice blends, salts and sugars, condiments, sauces, pastas and more to bring a depth of flavor to all kinds of dishes.

As one of Park City’s seasoned women entrepreneurs, a participating business in the #PCNative campaign and a Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business alumna, McCleary knows this business achievement could not be possible without her customers and fellow women entrepreneurs. “It is humbling to have so much support from locals and visitors alike. It is wonderful to see customers come back each year on their vacation or to pop in when running to the Post Office to pick up their mail.

Mountain Town Olive Oil invites its wonderful customers, friends, and family to their celebration birthday bash next week. Guests will enjoy beverages and tantalizing appetizers featuring the store’s specialty products. For a slice of birthday cake and in-store celebratory offers, come to 613 Main Street, Park City, Utah on Thursday, November 7 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
