Salt Lake City — Kunzler Bean & Adamson announces the addition to our Salt Lake City office of Chad Pehrson and Paul Sampson as partners in the Litigation section.

Chad Pehrson directs various types of commercial litigation, specializing in intellectual property, corporate governance, and securities disputes, and advising.  Pehrson is a registered patent attorney with litigation experience across the country, including federal courts in New York, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Texas, Colorado, Georgia, California, and Utah.  In patent and technology-related disputes, he finds his language training (M.A., rhetoric) to be as useful as his scientific training (M.S., chemistry) in explaining technical information to non-specialist judges and juries.  Pehrson particularly enjoys helping Utah companies manage the pitfalls of California litigation and commerce.  Pehrson joins the firm after several years as a partner at Parr Brown Gee & Loveless.

Paul Sampson specializes in complex litigation and has significant trial experience. He recently joined Kunzler Bean & Adamson’s litigation team after splitting a decade in Washington, D.C. at one of the nation’s leading trial litigation boutiques and at a top-10 ranked “big law” firm. He has worked with clients in a variety of industries, including biotechnology, pharmaceutical, healthcare, consumer products, interstate shipping, energy, and financial services. He has represented clients in antitrust and consumer class actions; shareholder derivative actions; defamation lawsuits; and government investigation and enforcement actions involving the US Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Federal Trade Commission, state attorneys general, and the City of New York.
