Intersection Expands With New Projects And Footprint In Utah
Lindon—Intersection, a San Diego-based commercial real estate company, is excited to announce their new offices in Lindon, Utah as well as new projects in that market. Their expansion into Utah opens their services to all major metro markets in Western United States and began operations on March 1.
“From our perspective, this is part of the vision of our service organization to serve our investors and clients in all of the major metro markets in the Western US (Seattle, Portland, Salt Lake, Sacramento, East Bay Walnut Creek, San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Phoenix, and Denver),” said Rocco Cortese, Managing Director at Intersection.
Intersection’s new project, located just outside of Salt Lake City, is an approximately 291,000 square foot office campus in Lindon, Utah, named Canopy Properties, equipped to accommodate Intersection’s clients with its “unrivaled infrastructure and construction-by-culture”. Canopy is Utah’s tech business campus and houses various tenants of different industries, with the purpose of helping them expand exponentially. Their state-of-the-art technology, functional business environment, and essential commodities provide all tenants, small or large, with a comfortable and dynamic work setting.
Aside from being one of the first data center environments as a part of the Novell NetWare brand, this iconic office park features unparalleled bandwidth connectivity and redundancies not typically found in newer office buildings today. The Father of Network Computing, Ray Noorda of Novell, built this campus in the ‘80’s which has stood the test of time and houses some of the foremost tech tenants in Utah County.
“We are extremely excited to work with the Canopy management team. They have a great depth of experience at the property and truly embrace our entrepreneurial approach to our collaborative culture”, says Scott Kirkpatrick, Senior Director of Real Estate Services for Intersection.
The Intersection team welcomes 7 new members who will be led locally by Willie Blocker growing the company to 31 people and 1.8 million square feet under management. Willie has worked for the Noorda family at the project for 20 years. Intersection’s offices will be located at the Canopy property. Rocco Cortese says, “The Salt Lake City Metro area is a robust and diverse economic region. With a solid local team, we expect to find new investment and development opportunities for our various funds as well grow ourthird party management and brokerage business.”
