Free Marketing Classes at Impact Hub Salt Lake City

Salt Lake City— Impact Hub Salt Lake City has partnered with Utah Marketing Association to host a series of free marketing workshops for Utah businesses. The Utah Marketing Association’s interactive workshops, which are scheduled to take place on the second Wednesday of every month, will focus on the intersection of digital and traditional marketing.

Utah Marketing Association’s monthly class is a part of Impact Hub’s weekly “Workshop Wednesdays” professional development series. Every Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Impact Hub Salt Lake hosts a free professional development workshop that is open to the public.

“Whether it’s learning a new professional skill or improving your portfolio, our goal is to create important connections that allow all types of entrepreneurs to thrive,” said Heidi Gress, Director of Impact Hub Salt Lake.

The first marketing workshop is scheduled to take place on Aug.14, at 6 p.m. at Impact Hub. The event is sponsored by Utah startups Zampi, Arvua, and Impact Hub.

“We noticed a lot of small businesses are ill-equipped to manage the marketing side of their business. They lack the time and funds to run effective marketing campaigns,” said Keeton Alder, co-founder of the Utah Marketing Association and founder of Zampi. “We’re going to teach attendees shortcuts so they can grow their business without spending all their time trying to figure out marketing.”

All Utah business owners, professionals, and students are invited to attend the series, which is free and open to the public. Startup founders Keeton Alder and Stuart Derman will explain marketing strategies and share tips about marketing tactics, including SEO (search engine optimization), web design, PPC for Google and Facebook ads, and social media. Business owners who attend the workshop series will walk away knowing how to easily set up, run, and manage time-efficient marketing campaigns.

The kick-off workshop will lay the groundwork for the entire marketing series. Attendees will learn how to structure their marketing initiatives to meet their specific needs. In subsequent workshops, the group will use one business a month as a case study to learn about and apply marketing techniques. RSVP for the workshop by visiting Impact Hub’s Eventbrite or Facebook pages.
