Harmons Pharmacies Offering On-Site Screenings
Salt Lake City—All pharmacists at Harmons Neighborhood Grocer locations are now certified to offer on-site screenings and treatments for five common medical conditions, the grocer announced today.
Harmons is one of the first pharmacies in Utah to offer the services. The grocer operates pharmacies in 18 of its 19 locations statewide.
Point-of-care screening means every Harmons’ pharmacist is trained to screen and treat strep throat, cold sores, urinary tract infections, self-administered contraceptives, and yeast infections.
“From paperwork to filled prescriptions, the entire process will take less than 30 minutes,” said Harmons’ Director of Pharmacy, Greg Jones. “We are now able to provide the same great care you would receive at a clinic without the wait or cost.”
Screenings for cold sores, UTI’s and yeast infections cost only $19.99, plus the cost of prescription. Getting tested for strep throat or obtaining a prescription for a self-administered contraceptive costs $39.99, plus the cost of prescription.
