Chartway Federal Credit Union Renovates Tooele Branch

Tooele—Following months of renovation, Chartway Federal Credit Union is now warmly welcoming members to its newly renovated Tooele Main branch located at 562 N. Main Street in Tooele, UT. This is one of many branch modernization efforts currently underway in Utah, which also includes a newly opened branch in South Salt Lake located in The Crossing.

The renovated Tooele branch features modern, inviting, and engaging member spaces and new technology to improve the ease, speed, and efficiency in which members can conduct their business, including Direct Teller technology. Direct Teller stations, which are interactive machines that can be used as ATMs or to connect with a live teller in real-time to perform a wide array of personalized transactions from the convenience of the car, significantly improve drive-thru lines by reducing transaction processing times by as much as 50 percent.

“At Chartway, we’re in the process of modernizing all our branches – creating colorful, contemporary spaces that allow members to benefit from the professional guidance they need and the technology that supports their evolving needs,” said Brian Schools, president & CEO of Chartway. “Our goal is to make the lives of our members more convenient and affordable, and our newly renovated Tooele Main branch is one of many ways we’re excited to do just that.”

To celebrate, Chartway held an official ribbon-cutting ceremony alongside several Tooele leaders, including Debbie Winn, Tooele mayor, and members of the Tooele Chamber of Commerce. George Sauer, Chartway board chairman; Bob Holmes, Chartway 1st vice chairman & treasurer; Jared Perry, Chartway board member and CEO of Make-A-Wish® Utah; Brian Schools, Chartway president & CEO; Kim Little, Chartway executive vice president & chief operating officer; and Karen Lane, We Promise Foundation executive director, were also in attendance.

Additionally, the credit union’s charitable arm, the We Promise Foundation, held a Wish Proclamation in partnership with Make-A-Wish® Utah for two-year-old Rhyan, who’s currently receiving treatment for a rare form of leukemia. Following the theme of her wish, famous Frozen characters Queen Elsa and Princess Anna read the signature Wish Proclamation scroll to announce that Rhyan’s wish was being granted thanks to a charitable grant from Chartway’s We Promise Foundation.

Chartway’s We Promise Foundation and Make-A-Wish® Utah have been long-time partners in making wishes come true for children battling life-threatening conditions across the state. Since the partnership began in 2011, Chartway’s We Promise Foundation has donated $1.3 million to Make-A-Wish® Utah to grant the wishes of 285 children in Utah.
