Associates join Armstrong Teasdale in Kansas City, Salt Lake City, and St. Louis

Salt Lake City — Armstrong Teasdale announces the addition of Associates Nicole Polzin to the Corporate Services practice in Kansas City, Nicolas Wilde to the Litigation practice in Salt Lake City, and Avila Zepp to the Immigration practice in St. Louis. They join more than 340 attorneys at Armstrong Teasdale firmwide.

Polzin is an experienced corporate and transactional attorney who counsels both entrepreneurs and established businesses across a broad range of services, including acquisitions, due diligence, policy review, and corporate governance. She has extensive experience drafting, reviewing, and advising clients on asset, membership interest, and stock purchase agreements. She has represented both the buy and sell sides and regularly handles a wide variety of deal-related documents. She provides general corporate guidance and carefully assesses the risks and liabilities involved in a given agreement or transaction. For startups and growing businesses, Polzin provides guidance on entity formation, ownership structure, and regulatory matters across jurisdictions.

Wilde previously served as a law clerk to the Hon. Clark Waddoups of the United States District Court for the District of Utah. Before clerking, he worked as a research and writing specialist, and later as an Assistant Federal Public Defender (AFPD) in the Southern District of Texas. In those roles, Wilde conceived of and developed then-novel arguments relating to a complex area of federal sentencing known as the Categorical Approach. As an AFPD, Wilde regularly argued in federal district court, cross-examined federal agents, and negotiated settlement with Assistant United States Attorneys.

Zepp is a multilingual immigration attorney with extensive experience in family- and employment-based immigration matters. She counsels clients around the world – including families and individuals, Fortune 500 companies, startups, and nonprofits – on immigration strategy and has experience drafting and reviewing filings before the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Customs and Border Protection (CBP), U.S. Department of State and Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE). Zepp has prepared and filed legal memoranda, motions, and appellate briefs with various courts and government agencies. She also has extensive experience guiding families and individuals through humanitarian-based relief and attaining lawful permanent residence in the U.S. through marriage- and family-based petitions.
