Taylorsville—Entertainment Group, a leading motion picture exhibitor owning and operating the largest theatre circuit in the United States, has executed its first lease in the state of Utah and is gearing up for a grand opening later this year.
“We are delighted that the United States’ largest cinema operator has chosen The Crossroads of Taylorsville for its first location in Utah,” commented Bill Stone, CEO and co-founder of S-Squared Development, developers of the property. “The city of Taylorsville has been incredibly supportive of our efforts to re-invent our major shopping center as a destination not only for shopping but entertainment and dining as well. With Regal Cinemas’ 14-screen, luxury multiplex here, we are confident that moviegoers from the greater Salt Lake Valley will choose The Crossroads to experience first run films with state-of-the-art amenities.”
The 60,860 sq. ft. Regal Cinemas’ entertainment complex will seat 1,400 guests in 14 auditoriums with contemporary concession stands. Representatives of the primary deal participants include Ira Mitchell from IJM on behalf of the landlord, Candace Gray of Envision Realty Advisors on behalf of Regal Cinemas as well as the Landlord’s retail broker, Coldwell Banker Commercial.
Regal Cinemas is part of an ongoing $22 million redevelopment for The Crossroads of Taylorsville that includes local favorite eatery, Café Rio, which just opened on the property.
