Accomplishments: Mary Street began her commercial real estate career in 1996. She has been a top-producing agent at CBC Advisors since she joined the firm in 2014. Last year, she completed more than 60 transactions, averaging almost 1.5 transactions per week. She ranked among the top 2 percent of Coldwell Banker Commercial brokers nationally in 2014 and 2016.
What drew her to commercial real estate: Street says in commercial real estate, “your level of success is confined only by your ability to produce results. It requires tenacity, nimble reflexes, and the ability to catch movement out of the corner of your eye and pounce on that opportunity. It is kind of like being a big game hunter, only no animals are injured in my pursuits.”
Advice for young women entering the workforce: “Invest in yourself—practice life-long education. Set your goals high and develop a plan to make steady progress toward those goals. Every week, before you get lost in the details and emails, take a look across the vista of your opportunities and ask yourself to be realistic about what you want to accomplish and what you can accomplish. Congratulate yourself on your successes and learn from your mistakes.”
