CHG Healthcare Services, along with Gov. Gary R. Herbert, cut the ribbon on its new Learning Center on March 30, 2010.
This ceremony marked the official opening of the Learning Center, which is devoted to the training and development of more than 1,100 CHG employees across the country, including more than 600 located at the Holladay-based healthcare staffing company.
“CHG represents true economic development in the State of Utah,” Gov. Herbert said. “I am honored to attend this event and support the success of a Salt Lake County company that offers quality employment and growth opportunities for Utahns.”
CHG’s investment in its people was recently recognized in a global ranking of employer-sponsored training and development programs, ranking 101st on the “Training Top 125” companies worldwide by Training Magazine. Through CHG University’s colleges of development, leadership and sales as well as divisional training support, CHG offers its employees courses, resources and support for professional and leadership development, advanced sales training and sales leadership, as well as technical training and coaching resources.
“Learning is a lifelong endeavor. In order for our company to continue to become stronger, every one of us needs to keep growing and learning,” said Michael Weinholtz, president and CEO at CHG Healthcare Services.
The 3,000 square-foot Learning Center features a state-of-the-art video conferencing room, empowering employees to develop real-time, interactive communication with their co-workers in any of CHG’s seven offices across the country.
“Even during some of the recent challenging economic times, we’ve continued investing in our employees, our training programs and our technology to improve the effectiveness and success of our people,” said Mr. Weinholtz.
