 JUSTIN BOWCUTT of Envision Engineering earned his Professional Engineers Certification in Utah. Bowcutt serves as project manager and brings extensive experience in design engineering for government and private clientele, staff supervision, and client coordination for Envision’s Salt Lake City-based office.

Snow, Christensen & Martineau elected two new shareholders P. MATTHEW COX and DEREK J. WILLIAMS from the firm’s Salt Lake City office. Cox has focused claims related to bankruptcy, real estate, intellectual property, product liability, secured transactions, construction and securities, landlord/tenant issues, and helping businesses recover outstanding debts and assets from insolvent individuals and entities. Williams’ practice is focused on areas of civil litigation, including medical malpractice defense, product liability, personal injury defense and adoption law. 

 

Aspen Logistics named GREG CAVA vice president of service solutions. Cava will head Aspen’s efforts to grow its customer base and expand its solutions into a broader range of customer needs and industries. Prior to joining Aspen, Cava co-founded Global Reach Logistics.

 

Utah Governor GARY R. HERBERT appointed R. BRUCE JOHNSON to serve as chairman of the Utah State Tax Commission, and ROB ADAMS and PETER MOUSKONDIS to the business development board of the Governor’s Office of Economic Development. JOHN A. PEARCE joins the Governor’s Office as legal counsel to the governor. 

 

The Salt Lake City office of CB Richard Ellis welcomed STAN KOZLOWSKI to the firm. Kozlowski is one of three partners within the CBRE Hotels practice, specializing in hotel debt and equity financing. Kozlowski previously worked at CBRE’s San Diego office.

 

Crestwood Communications, LLC named BRIAN HOLLIEN president of its Morris Murdock Travel and Morris Meetings and Incentives (MMI) subsidiaries. Hollien previously served as vice president and general manager of the company. Hollien’s career spans 28 years in the travel industry.

 

Members from Utah’s 28 county farm bureaus reelected Tooele County hay farmer and rancher, LELAND HOGAN, to his 5th two-year term as president of the Utah Farm Bureau Federation. Hogan will continue to serve on the American Farm Bureau’s board of directors as well as the American Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture.

 

Fabian & Clendenin attorneys SCOTT M. PETERSEN and MICHELE MITCHELL were selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers in the field of employment and labor. Petersen is a shareholder at the firm, and Mitchell is of counsel.

 

LYNN HARRIS joined Digital Financial Group as product manager. Harris brings more than 20 years of experience in the acquiring industry with several top institutions, such as Comstar, Way Systems, First Data Corporation, Vital Processing Services and Visa. 

 

Resorts West promoted STACY BAUMAN to the newly-created position of general manager. Bauman has been with Resorts West for five years as owner relations manager and director of revenue development. Bauman will plan, direct, and coordinate the operations at Resorts West, be responsible for formulating company-wide polices, oversee department heads and play an integral role in ensuring the success of the Resorts West business as a whole.

 

Manning Curtis Bradshaw & Bednar LLC hired AARON GARRETT, a 2009 graduate of the College of William and Mary School of Law. He will assist in commercial litigation and employment practices.

 

American Express selected BRANDT PAGE, CEO at Launch Sales and Marketing LLC, to contribute to the financial services company’s OPEN Forum, which offers advice to small businesses. American Express created its OPEN Forum Pulse Twitter platform as an aggregate source of sound business information for small business owners. 

 

Tanner LC promoted ARIKA SUNDBERG to Tax and Business Advisory Services Manager after more than seven years with the company; JUSTIN MELLOR to audit and business advisory services senior after three years with the company; DAVID LUKE to audit and business advisory services manager after four years with the company; and JESSIKA REED to human resources and marketing coordinator after more than two years with the company. 

THOMAS WRIGHT has been named president and principal broker at Summit Sotheby’s International Realty. He will oversee the company’s Utah offices. Wright previously served as managing broker for the Salt Lake Office, and was with Prudential Utah Real Estate where he ranked the third largest producing agent along the Wasatch front in 2007. BRUCE SHANNON, founder of Summit Sotheby’s International Realty, has been named managing broker of the company’s Heber office and will continue to drive the company’s strategy and growth. 

 

The Utah Technology Council (UTC) appointed DR. MICHAEL FELDMAN to the newly created position of life science executive-in-residence. In this role, Feldman will work to support the growth of life science companies and programs in the state and will help lead the development of a strategic plan for BIOVision in Utah. Feldman brings more than 20 years of senior executive experience to the UTC position, including nine years in the Utah life science industry. Most recently, he was president, CEO and director of BioMicro Systems.
