Public Hearings Scheduled for Governor’s Ten-Year Energy Initiative

Governor Gary R. Herbert announced an important next step in the creation of his 10-Year Strategic Energy Plan, with four public hearings scheduled across the State.

 

“We are moving forward with our plan to responsibly develop Utah’s abundant energy resources, while also pursuing renewable energy opportunities throughout the State,” Governor Herbert said. “A critical part of this process is to gather valuable input from stakeholders and citizens.”

 

The meetings will be facilitated by Ted Wilson, Governor Herbert’s senior environmental advisor and chairman of the Governor’s Energy Initiative Task Force. Members of the Task Force will also be present.

Wednesday, Sept. 8                                      

Carbon County Courthouse

Thursday, Sept. 9

Southern Utah University

5-7 p.m.

 

Tuesday, Sept. 14

Thursday, Sept. 23

3-5 p.m.

 

Interested individuals or organizations are encouraged to RSVP to guarantee a speaking time. An individual or organization may utilize one reserved spot during the public hearings.
