Salt Lake City – Westminster College is one of the best colleges in the nation to work for, according to a new survey by the Chronicle of Higher Education. This is the fifth consecutive year the college has been selected for this honor.
The results are based on a survey of more than 46,600 employees at 300 colleges and universities. Westminster is among the top 100 institutions to earn the recognition.
In the survey, Westminster employees praised the school’s teaching environment; facilities, workspace and security; and collaborate governance.
“Our focus at Westminster College is entirely on our students and their success, and our attention as faculty and staff must be given to those priorities that benefit students,” said Brian Stankevich, Westminster College president. “We are successful because we have an environment that supports our professional needs, that encourages collaboration and innovation and that respects the contributions of everyone to our common objectives.”
The Chronicle’s survey results are based on a two-part assessment process: an institutional audit that captured demographics and workplace policies and practices from each institution and a survey administered to faculty, administrators and professional support staff. The primary factor in deciding whether an institution received recognition was the employee feedback.
