Salt Lake City – Westminster College’s Center for Financial Analysis (CFA) has installed a new stock ticker and video boards intended to provide business students with a more dynamic learning experience.
The installation gives users access to real-time global market data, financial information and historical economic data.
“This is an exciting time and shows the commitment of Westminster College to provide a state-of-the-art facility for students, alumni and the community,” said Jonathan McKenzie, CFA director. “The new technology helps create a high-energy environment for learning and interacting with the domestic and international financial markets.”
The CFA is a computer classroom and lab that is equipped with the same tools, data and technology used by Wall Street traders, investors and fund managers such as FactSet, MorningStar and ValueLine.
“The central purpose of our center is to help blend classroom theory with real-world, first-hand experience,” said Jin Wang, dean of the Bill and Vieve Gore School of Business.
