Forbes Travel Guide unveiled its semi-annual listing of Four-Star hospitality establishments and named Waldorf Astoria Park City, Golden Door Spa and Slopes as part of this list. Waldorf Astoria Park City and its spa and restaurant will be showcased with all of the 2012 award winners on Startle.com, a new social media platform and online home of Forbes Travel Guide.
“We’re honored to be recognized with this prestigious accolade,” said Kerry Hing, general manager of Waldorf Astoria Park City. “We pride ourselves on providing unparalleled customer service to every guest in every aspect of our property and are excited to continue to offer our remarkable hospitality to future guests.”
Located at the base of Canyons Resort, Waldorf Astoria Park City offers an idyllic luxury mountain vacation for its guests with a variety of year-round seasonal activities. Its residences are appointed with custom furnishings, while its suites showcase spectacular views of the ski slopes and picturesque Wasatch Mountains and have kitchens outfitted with Viking appliances. Waldorf Astoria Park City also features intimate meeting space as well as an expansive outdoor patio with fire pits and a heated pool and Jacuzzis.
Opened in December 2011, Slopes offers guests a dining experience as grand as the surrounding mountains. Led by executive chef Clement Gelas, Slopes has 120 seats indoor and additional seasonal outdoor seating, private dining areas and a lounge, all with sweeping views of the surrounding Wasatch Mountain Range. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the restaurant offers an unparalleled wine and spirits program, including handcrafted cocktails and an extensive list of wines from around the world.
Integral to the guest experience at Waldorf Astoria Park City is its 16,000-square-foot Golden Door Spa, which is one of only five Golden Door Spas in the world. The facility includes 15 treatment rooms featuring signature Golden Door offerings as well as a full-service hair and nail salon. Additionally the spa features Dr. Cates, an on-site naturopathic physician who treats patients through natural therapies, diet, exercise and lifestyle changes to improve overall health.
Waldorf Astoria Park City, Golden Door Spa and Slopes are the latest installments to the travel ratings system that has been the gold standard in the industry since 1958.
