Bountiful –VLCM, a Salt Lake-based IT solutions provider, and Bountiful-based Rocky Mountain Voice & Data (RMVD) joined forces. RMVD is now VLCM’s unified communications/telephony business unit, enabling VLCM to offer its customers a wider range of unified-communications solutions.
VLCM and RMVD are now poised to be the largest sales and support force for ShoreTel in Utah, Idaho, Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico. “By combining RMVD’s strengths with VLCM’s strengths, we project that in three to five years, we will be doing five to 10 times what we are doing now,” said Mike Linton, VLCM’s vice president of sales.
“RMVD and our customers will benefit from the IT experience and resources offered at VLCM, and the VLCM team and customers will be able to tap into the RMVD experience and resources on the telephony side of things,” said Paul James, RMVD’s leader in the merger. “There should be no one in the valley with the resources and expertise of our combined companies. This benefits both RMVD and VLCM, but more importantly, will be a great benefit to our customers and our being able to better meet their needs.”
